Real Property Management Express Pet Policy

Real Property Management Express welcomes a variety of pets in our communities. Our pet policy is designed to provide clear, consistent guidelines for residents while making it easier to understand which pets are permitted and what fees apply.

Individual properties may have additional requirements, so all pets must be approved in accordance with property policy.

Approved Pets

The following animals are permitted in Real Property Management Express communities:

• Dogs
• Cats
• Gerbils
• Guinea pigs
• Hamsters
• Hedgehogs
• Turtles
• Lizards
• Non-poisonous frogs
• Non-poisonous snakes up to 6 feet in length
• Rabbits
• Birds
• Fish in aquariums up to 20 gallons

Pet Limits

There is a limit of two pets per home. This may include combinations such as two dogs, two cats, one dog and one cat, or one dog or cat and one caged animal or aquarium.

Rabbits are limited to one per household. Cages must be appropriately sized and may contain no more than four animals per cage. Aquariums are limited to 20 gallons.

Pet Fees & Monthly Pet Rent

Dogs & Cats
Dogs and cats are subject to the standard pet fee of $380 and standard monthly pet rent per pet.

Other Approved Pets
Other approved pets are subject to 50% of the standard pet fee and do not incur monthly pet rent.

There is one pet fee per home. If a household has both a full-fee pet (dog or cat) and a half-priced approved animal, the higher pet fee applies.

Fish: Fish do not incur a pet fee; however, the aquarium counts as one of the two permitted pets.

Service Animals & Emotional Support Animals

Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are handled separately from Real Property Management Express’ standard pet policy. Applicable procedures and documentation requirements for Service Animals and ESAs remain unchanged.

Pet Approval

All pets must be approved in accordance with Real Property Management Express policy before being added to a lease. Standard pet documentation requirements remain in effect.
