Why is the Resident requesting so many repairs? Is this normal?
Experience has shown that most residents request repairs far more frequently at the beginning of the lease. Residents notice things that don’t work, are dirty, or are unsightly. They have not gotten desensitized yet. Once time passes, residents no longer notice things that are not quite right. Consider your owner home. No doubt you have numerous things that need to be fixed, cleaned, or tidied up. But months and even years can pass before these things are rectified. After a while, you simply don’t notice them anymore. They are just part of the background. But if someone else who is not used to your home enters for the first time, they will immediately notice any unsightly items, strange smells, or things that don’t work.
