QUARTERLY PROPERTY WELLNESS CHECKS

Who changes furnace filters and checks smoke alarms and what is a Quarterly Property Wellness Check?

While it is always the responsibility of the Resident to change furnace filters and test their smoke alarms, Real Property Management Express changes furnace filters and checks smoke alarms about every 3 months on most properties. The decision on the frequency of these checks if left to the property owner.

Because of a wide geographic area of properties, we try to group properties by location and conduct the checks on the same day. Residents are notified at least 24 hours in advance by recorded phone message. Residents do not need to be home at the time of the check, but certainly may be. We do ask that you restrain any pets before we arrive. We are in the property for 10-15 minutes. We are also looking for any maintenance items that may need attention, both inside and out.

If you know of anything that needs maintenance, we ask that you enter a maintenance request using your Resident’s portal, or call our maintenance hotline.
